EPIC Games Part 5 & Road Map to a New Normal
On May 5, 2020, the final two teams will enter the final round where your guessing skills and endurance will be challenged.
On May 6, 2020, we launched a completely new segment to our business that was built during the start of the pandemic. Ignite Funding will be offering tranche loans. I will provide more details as to this in a later blog.
Back to EPIC GAMES-19 and first endurance challenge of the final round. I figured there is never going to be another time in which toilet paper is going to be as hot a topic than now although many of us are still trying to figure out why toilet paper was such a hot commodity when the COVID-19 pandemic started. Nevertheless, I was not going to lose the opportunity to use toilet paper throughout many of the games, so why not toilet paper endurance challenges? One team member from each of the remaining teams was asked to grab a roll of toilet paper from their stockpile and bring in back to their Zoom camera location. Once there I gave them the instructions, which were that the first person to tear each square of toilet paper off one by one until they are at the end of the roll wins. It was funny to watch and what a huge pile they both had at the end.
The Disinfectants win the first challenge in the final round.
The next endurance challenge was a toilet paper cardio challenge. One member from each team was to pick up a roll of toilet paper with two spoons and stand on one leg holding the toilet paper roll. The person to put a leg down or drop the toilet paper roll lost.
The Disinfectants win the second challenge in the final round.
On May 8, 2020, we are rounding the corner to bringing employees back to work. It was great to have the management staff back and to have their assistance as we forge into the what is to come. Based on the previous notification to employees as to what to expect upon their return to the office we have received several questions regarding the Roadmap to the New Normal, so we had to remind everyone of the following just as we the stay home order started:
1. The company is focused on protecting its employees, clients and ultimately your families. The precautions have been put into place are for the benefit of each any every employee.
2. The company encourages ongoing awareness of the general hygiene precautions, social distancing, and the temporary adjustments made to operate in accordance to the governors’ regulations.
3. Now is a good time to remind everyone that the Employees Assistance Program (EAP) is available and provides confidential service to help handle life’s every day and not so everyday stress and challenges. More information is in the Employee Benefit folder or check with Human Resources.
4. And finally, as we put on our gloves and place masks over our faces remember – we are in this together and together we will get through this safely.
For more information as to what to expect when returning to work I asked my management staff to assist me in producing an instruction video and here is the link.
Let us not forget the EPIC GAMES-19 were not over and we still had to finish the final round. Yet again I was able to use some of the information generated from previous entries during the challenges. QuaranTEAM had to win this next round or the competition would be over. They put up their final member for each team for this challenge which would be a guessing challenge. Of all the building with hearts pictures provided in first challenge of EPIC GAMES-19 how many of the buildings provided were unique. The answer was 14. And of the refrigerator pictures how many dozens of eggs were in the employees’ refrigerators. The answer was 31 dozen. The Disinfectants take the victory before we can move on to the next questions.
